Casey is a Registered Social Worker who has a deep passion for supporting individuals as they work toward a greater sense of wellbeing. Casey works with youth, teens and adults of all ages to optimize their mental health, communication, coping, relationships, and overall quality of life by offering a nonjudgmental space for clients to show up just as they are, knowing they will always be met with the unconditional acceptance they deserve. Casey believes strongly in the inherent goodness and worth of all human beings, and allows this compassion and respect to drive her practice. Casey acknowledges the resilience and strengths of her clients, recognizes them as the experts in their own life, and uses a collaborative approach to make sure treatment is best tailored to the individual needs of each person.

Casey has also worked for several years in the hospital system, first in acute care and cancer care hospitals navigating and supporting new diagnoses, advanced care planning, palliative care, grief, bereavement and caregiver support. More recently her hospital work has been in an Emergency Department, providing mental health crisis intervention to individuals of all ages.

Casey practices using an integrated approach to therapy, knowing that one size does not fit all. While supporting clients with challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, caregiver stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma including ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences), Casey uses an attachment-based and trauma informed lens, and draws from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),  Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion. Casey has completed nearly 60 hours of additional training in trauma treatment, and acknowledges that trauma is common and can leave a deep impact on our mind, body, and relationships. However, with the right support it is possible to grow and heal, no matter how long ago the trauma or adversity occurred. Casey has a particular interest and experience working with parents and caregivers to address their experiences of childhood trauma in order to promote healing and attachment with their children now.
